1995 - Present Private Practice - Currently provide individual and group psychotherapy in private office in Alexandria, VA, to adolescents and adults. Specialize in neurofeedback, ADHD, sexual compulsion, substance abuse, and trauma/sexual abuse.
1997 - 1998 Consultant - Special Psychological Services, Fairfax, VA. Conducted psychological screenings for Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia applicants of police and fire departments.
1996 - 1997 Consultant - Geriatric Psychological Services, Alexandria, Virginia. Conducted evaluations of geriatric residents in nursing homes. Acted as resource for nursing home staff in the care of difficult residents. Provided inservice trainings.
1994 - 1995 Hospital Staff - Provided inpatient group psychotherapy for adolescents and adults at Springwood Psychiatric Institute, including the dual diagnosis program. Conducted psychological testing of children, adolescents, and adults.
1991 - 1993: Consultant - Therapy Center, Alexandria, VA. Conduct psychological testing and provide supervision of group and individual psychotherapy.
1990 - 1995: Private Practice - Provided individual psychotherapy and psychological testing to children, adolescents, and adults in Washington, DC and Virginia, initially in solo practice and eventually as part of Metropolitan Psychiatric Group.
1987 - 1993: Staff Psychologist - St. Elizabeths Hospital, Washington, DC. Provided psychological services on an adult acute care admissions ward for 1 1/2 years, including intake assessments, group and individual psychotherapy, psycho- diagnostic testing, multidisciplinary treatment planning, testimony to Mental Health Commission, and case management. Provided full range of therapeutic and assessment services in a forensic setting, including supervision of psychology interns and externs, case consultations regarding homicide and suicide, teaching psychiatric residents about psycho- logical testing, and court testimony. Acted as a consultant to various departments to provide training about psychologically related topics. Edited Rorschach interpretation manual for Exner system. Assessed special issues related to competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, dangerousness, personality functioning, dissociative disorders, neuropsychological impairment, and mental retardation.
